Who I Am

Hello there! My name is Muneeb Syed and I am currently a sophomore at the University of Connecticut. Over the past few years, I have created projects with Hobbyist Electronics, Carpentry, and CAD of 3D models and PCBs. Through my commitment as the Captain of FTC Team 12589, I have been exposed to a wide variety of skills that have boosted my technical abilities, and offered me the ability to foster group collaboration and teamwork. This site is a introduction to some of the various projects and activities I have done.

Projects

Below are some of the projects I have done, they are divided into 2 themes, Woodworking and Electronics. Click on them to learn more or see a demonstration!

Wooden Shelf Render in CAD

Making A Workbench With CAD

I made this workbench to be an extension for my desk, I designed it to hold heavy weight at the top and be easily stored underneath my desk when not in use.
CAD files And Blueprints Included!.

A Prosthetic Arm With A Contactless Control System

I created a prosthetic arm capable of movement controlled through gestures made by a user's arm. These gestures are registered using computer vision in a non-invasive manner

Detecting the Environment for Visually Impaired Individuals

One of my early Arduino projects was to create a device that detected obstacles in the environment. Using haptic feedback, the user is be alerted to their surroundings. This device would be most helpful to individuals with visual impairment
Fritzing Diagram and Program Files Included!

Mirror

Creating an Infinty Mirror

I made a fun little aesthetic project that made use of LED lights and mirrors to create an "infinity illusion"
CAD files And Blueprints Included!

Building Instructions Included!

Robotics Summer Camps 2018, 2019, 2020

I created and led the Saint John's Robotics Summer Camp. Aimed at middle schoolers, this camp taught students how to use 3D Printers, CNC Machines, Laser cutters and general lab equipment in a 60 hour course
Schedule and course material included!

Participated in the MIT BeaverWorks Course

I joined MIT's Beaver Works program at Lincoln Laboratories. My specific course was on developing an Autonomous Racecar that would navigate a track using LiDAR sensors
